Galapagos Pronto Terms and Conditions


I. Introduction

Welcome to Ecua Ventures LLC DBA Galapagos Pronto (hereby refered to as "Galapagos Pronto") These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the booking of Galapagos cruises, tours, and land-based tours. By using our website and booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read and understand these Terms before proceeding. 

II. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or booking our services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our website or booking our services.

III. Booking and Reservations

The percentages (%) expressed below are of the total booking price. 

A. Cruises

Booking within 65 days of Cruise departure:

  • 100% payment required to Secure Reservation.
  • Payment is to be made to a US bank (Bank of America) via Wire Transfer or Zelle with no fee to the customer. Credit Cards are accepted with a 3% fee payable by the customer. Payments made to an Ecuadorian Bank will have 12% IVA added and payable by the customer.
  • Cancellation fees:
    • 100% will be forfeited in the case of the customer canceling. 

Booking outside 65 days of cruise departure:

  • 30% deposit required to secure the reservation.
  • Payment is to be made to a US bank (Bank of America) via Wire Transfer or Zelle with no fee to the customer. Credit Cards are accepted with a 3% fee payable by the customer. Payments made to an Ecuadorian Bank will have 12% IVA added and payable by the customer.
  • Balance required 65 days prior to cruise departing.
  • Cancellation fees:
    • Up to 65 days before departure: 30% of the booking fee will be forfeited (i.e the initial deposit).
    • Within 65 days before departure: 100% of the booking will be forfeited in the case of the customer canceling.
    • Note: Payment terms for cruises may vary depending on each cruise's conditions and promotions.

B. Land Based Tours

Booking within 65 days of tour departure:

  • 100% required to secure the reservation.
  • Payment is to be made to a US bank (Bank of America) via Wire Transfer or Zelle with no fee to the customer. Credit Cards are accepted with a 3% fee payable by the customer. Payments made to an Ecuadorian Bank will have 12% IVA added and payable by the customer.
  • Cancellation fees:
    • 100% of the booking will be forfeited in the case of the customer canceling.

Booking outside 65 days of Tour departure:

  • $500 per person required to secure the reservation.
  • Payment is to be made to a US bank (Bank of America) via Wire Transfer or Zelle with no fee to the customer. Credit Cards are accepted with a 3% fee payable by the customer. Payments made to an Ecuadorian Bank will have 12% IVA added and payable by the customer.
  • Balance required 65 days prior to tour departing.
  • Cancellation fees by customer:
    • Cancellation 61 days or more before departure date: Loss of Deposit.
    • Cancellation 60-31 days before departure date: Loss of 50% of total tour price.
    • Cancelation 30 days or less before departure date: Loss of 100% of total tour price.

IV. Travel Itineraries


A. Creation of Travel Itineraries

Galapagos Pronto takes great care in crafting exciting and comprehensive travel itineraries for our customers. These itineraries are designed to offer a well-rounded experience of the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, and Peru, highlighting the unique attractions and activities each destination has to offer.


B. Flexibility of Itineraries

The nature of travel in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, and Peru often requires a degree of flexibility. While we strive to adhere to the published itineraries to the best of our ability, various unforeseen circumstances can necessitate alterations to the planned schedule. These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, adverse weather conditions, unexpected logistical challenges, changes in local regulations, or other factors that may impact the safety or enjoyment of the trip.


C. Responsibility of Galapagos Pronto

Galapagos Pronto is committed to providing our customers with the best possible travel experience. Our responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring that the essential components of the itinerary, as outlined in our promotional materials and booking documents, are delivered as described.

  2. Making reasonable efforts to minimize disruptions and inconveniences in cases where itinerary alterations are necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.

  3. Providing customers with timely updates and information regarding any itinerary changes, as well as alternative arrangements when required.

  4. Collaborating with local partners, guides, and service providers to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for our customers.


D. Customer Cooperation

While we endeavor to create memorable and hassle-free travel experiences, we also rely on the cooperation of our customers. We kindly request that our customers:

  1. Be understanding and flexible when faced with itinerary adjustments, understanding that such changes are made with the safety and enjoyment of the trip in mind.

  2. Follow the guidance of our tour leaders and local guides, who are experienced in navigating the unique challenges of the destinations we visit.

  3. Communicate any special requests, needs, or concerns to our team in advance of the trip to allow for appropriate accommodations whenever possible.

V. Travel Insurance

Galapagos Pronto strongly recommends that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance should include coverage for personal accidents, medical expenses, loss of personal effects, repatriation costs, and other potential expenses that may arise during your trip. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they have adequate travel insurance coverage before embarking on their journey with Galapagos Pronto.

VI. Passport and Visa Requirements

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports and any necessary visas, permits, and certificates required for their travel to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Peru, and other destinations included in their itinerary. Galapagos Pronto is not liable for any issues related to inadequate travel documentation. We recommend travelers verify these requirements with the relevant authorities and obtain the necessary documentation well in advance of their trip.

VII. Health and Medical Considerations

Galapagos Pronto provides guidance on health precautions, vaccinations, and medical considerations based on our destinations. While we offer information and recommendations, it is the responsibility of the traveler to seek advice from medical professionals regarding their specific health needs and to follow any recommended medical precautions. Travelers may be required to complete medical forms or provide doctor's certificates before participating in certain activities or tours.

VIII. Liability and Disclaimers


A. Limitation of Liability

Galapagos Pronto acts as a tour organizer, arranging services provided by various third-party suppliers, including hotels, transport companies, and tour operators. While we take great care in selecting our partners and ensuring the quality of services provided, we cannot be held responsible for any injury, death, accident, delay, loss, damage, or irregularity that may occur during the course of the trip.

B. Assumption of Risks

Traveling with Galapagos Pronto may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activities, exposure to the natural environment, wildlife encounters, and other adventurous experiences. Customers acknowledge these risks and agree to participate in activities with full awareness and understanding of the potential dangers. Customers are responsible for their personal safety and any associated risks while participating in Galapagos Pronto tours and activities.

C. Local Conditions and Cultural Differences

Travel to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Peru, and other destinations in the region may involve exposure to unfamiliar cultural norms, political conditions, and physical challenges. It is important for travelers to make themselves aware of the local conditions, including cultural and environmental differences, and to exercise caution and respect while traveling.

D. Responsibility for Property

Galapagos Pronto is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property during the trip. Travelers are advised to exercise care and take appropriate precautions to safeguard their belongings.

IX. User Conduct

Customers using the Galapagos Pronto website and booking services agree to adhere to the following guidelines:

A. Respect for Others

Customers shall treat fellow travelers, guides, local communities, and Galapagos Pronto staff with respect, kindness, and consideration.

B. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Customers shall abide by all laws, customs, foreign exchange regulations, and drug regulations of the countries visited during their trip.

C. Compliance with Tour Leader's Decisions

The decision of Galapagos Pronto's Tour Leader is final in all matters related to the safety and well-being of the tour. Failure to comply with the Tour Leader's instructions may result in removal from the tour without refund.

X. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, State of Texas, where Galapagos Pronto has its registered office address. Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation or, if necessary, by arbitration or mediation, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the relevant arbitration or mediation authority.

XI. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Galapagos Pronto reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Customers will be informed of any changes to the Terms through our website. Continued use of our services after such changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
